Director of Operations
Position Summary
Management, oversight, and standardization of Ingenium’s Operations Department and all other associated functions, throughout Ingenium’s individual service centers/branches. Manage and oversee strategic, tactical,
and day-to-day aspects of the Operations Department.
This position is a remote position with required travel to Ingenium branch sites. Candidates must reside near one of Ingenium's branch locations:
California - Escondido, Santa Clara, or Sacramento
Texas - Austin, Houston, or Dallas
Oregon - Portland
Washington - Kent

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
· Safety and regulatory compliance of all departmental personnel, administration and enforcement, in conjunction with Ingenium's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department.
· Management of department financials, in conjunction with the COO, to include:
o P/L management to ensure revenue, profitability, and margin targets are achieved.
o Budgeting
· Manage site Location Managers as direct reports; includes indirect management of all departmental administrative/field personnel at regional locations.
· Create and execute strategic goals as determined by executive management.
· Performance management of Operations Department and management personnel.
· Includes implementation of measurable metrics to track performance and development of a roadmap for continual improvement to the customer experience.
· Systems/Process standardization to include creation and implementation of corporate Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and other methods to ensure company initiatives are followed and subsequent goals are met.
· Build high-performance, customer-centric teams by recruiting, training and developing 'rockstar' management staff.
· Start-up new service locations, as required, to meet business demands. Includes all phases including property search and acquisition, staffing, equipment acquisition, and all other facets. Policy integration to include creation and implementation of corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure company initiatives/goals are met. Includes:
o Scheduling
o Transportation
o Vehicle upkeep/maintenance/repairs
o Department record keeping
o Safety and Compliance
o Supply/ materials ordering o Inventory control
o Job walks
o Project Management (all types)
o All other operational facets, as needed
· Develop/create departmental training program and mechanisms for delivery to personnel, in conjunction with EHS and Sales, to ensure department personnel are proficient and work safely. Oversight of Ingenium's proprietary programs, all facets, including Orphan Chemical, Emerald Energy, BioInergy, etc.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Non-Essential Functions:
· Administrative tasks and paperwork as it relates to the following:
o Transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes (manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking documents, others).
o Driver hours of service records including driver logs, 100-mile radius logs.
o Experience in the acquisition of trucks and equipment to support department.
o Executive Leadership Team member and contributor.
Qualifications and Experience
· 5+ years senior-level supervisory experience.
· Strong technical background with regards to industry.
· Bachelor's Degree in science discipline preferred.
· High level of skill and attention to detail in planning and directing of all aspects of department management, especially the ability to identify weaknesses and strengths within departments. Exceptional customer service skills.
· Keen analytical skills, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
· Experience in working with financial/accounting reports, including profit-loss statements, balance sheets, payroll reports, etc.
· Exceptional organizational skills.
· Budgetary planning/cost controls/purchasing experience.
· Waste characterization (profiling) experience required.
· Demonstrate an understanding of safe work practices while working with chemical, radiological, and biological agents.
· Highly self-motivated.
· Possess initiative, drive, and enthusiasm.
· Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with and work well with others to manage projects, meetings, etc.
· Ability to demonstrate outstanding leadership that inspires, motivates, and supports others to perform well and create a team environment.

· Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
· Must have a valid driver's license and 3 years of driving experience in operation of the vehicle class type required for this position.
· Must have a clean DMV driving report.
